My Story

I have always preferred using natural products on my skin. As a young woman in the 1970's, the idea of "back to nature" was in vogue. As I got older, I was always on the lookout for products that would make my skin look & feel younger.

I was fascinated with the idea of making my own soap. However, I was frightened off by the warnings about using lye. Then I discovered something called "melt & pour". You purchase this pre-made soap base, melt it, add whatever you want, then pour it into a mold. This sounded simple enough, so I tried it. It was fun!  When

I washed with the soap, my skin felt ok...pretty good. Then I noticed that the soap base ingredients contained all sorts of things I didn't recognize.

I realized that I wasn't making soap, I was just "re-molding" it. I decided that I wanted to make "real" soap. I began making soap from scratch. I was in control of what goes into it.

The first time I washed with my soap, I was really surprised by the way my skin felt. It was velvety, the way it felt years ago, supple and moisturized, but clean.

As others tried it & liked it, I started making larger amounts & more "flavors". Eventually I started my business so others could experience this wonderful feeling! That was 13 years ago.
